This is an internal monologue I wrote as a part of our unit on actors. It is based on Act Two Scene Nine of Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, from the point of view of the character Prior. I enjoyed the opportunity for creative expression in this assignment, as well as the fact that this assignment focused on acting, something I enjoy and is dear to my heart

This is a monologue that I wrote as an adaptation of the song "Me and the Sky" from the musical Come From Away, as part of our unit on musical theatre. I absolutely adored this musical, so having the chance to explore it creatively was incredibly fun for me, both as a theatre nerd and as someone who loves to write. The lyrics to the song are included as well.
This was one of the major assignments I completed for this course, an analysis of the text of the play And the Soul Shall Dance, by Wakaso Yamauchi. I was very proud of my perfect score on this essay, because I'd poured quite a bit of work into addressing all parts of the prompt and presenting as thorough an analysis of the script as I could within the space constraints.
My second assignment for Drama 101 was to create a photo ID card that encapsulated my personality. This assignment was slightly frustrating at first, mostly because I lacked the technical skill to present it exactly as I wanted to using digital technology (the only true computer skills I have are on Microsoft Word), and it took me so long. However, as I completed the assignment, I was extremely pleased with how it turned out (hence why I documented it here). It definitely made me reflect on the things that are important to me, and how I choose to present myself to the world.
This was my first assignment for Drama 101, an essay on a live performance event that was influential to me. I think I took it more seriously than I was supposed to (typical Honors student right here), as I tend to do with any assignment involving creative writing. It was a fun experience to reflect on, and reminded me why I had signed up for the class (a reminder I would need later in the quarter as the class proved to be far below my level of theatre experience and thus semi-frustrating)
