Spring 2020 (really, the closing weeks of Winter 2020) brought with it the arrival of COVID-19 and the transition to online learning. This shift was of course significant and greatly impacted the way that the quarter unfolded. Most significantly for me, it meant the cancellation of my planned study abroad in London. Nevertheless, as humans always do, I adapted to the changes and found success and happiness in new and different ways during our time staying home and staying healthy. I found moments of joy with my roommates, valuing our time together when so often we were not home at the same time before, and family and friends from afar. Online learning was a new challenge for engagement and effort both - it was difficult to separate school life and home when both were taking place inside the walls of my apartment - but I was able to find balance and push through with each, to the end and the start of a quarantined summer.
